Ludacris' Longtime Manager Chaka Zulu Shot In Georgia

Chaka Zulu, music executive and longtime manager of Ludacris, was shot Sunday night (June 26) in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Zulu was wounded in the shooting, which occurred around 11:35 p.m in a parking lot outside a restaurant in Buckhead, and two other men were also shot.

All three men were reportedly transported to a local hospital, where one died. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the man killed as Artez Benton, 23.

Former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed told WSB-TV, per People, that Zulu is "in stable condition and recovering." He added, "The family thanks everyone for their well wishes and prayers, and asks for their privacy at this time."

Police Lt. Germain Dearlove told local news media that the shooting was the "result of a dispute in the parking lot."

No arrests have been made.

"This investigation remains active and ongoing at this time," Atlanta police said, per People.
